NVIDIA app / GeForce Expereince is missing WhisperMode or lists it as "Not Ready"

WhisperMode is a proprietary NVIDIA technology that makes your plugged-in laptop run much quieter while gaming. It works by intelligently pacing the game’s frame rate while simultaneously configuring the graphics settings for optimal power-efficiency, keeping fans and noise under control.

Is WhisperMode available on every system?
Options for WhisperMode will only be accessible on supported systems.

Troubleshooting:
If your notebook isn't detected as WhisperMode ready by NVIDIA app/GeForce Experience, it may be for one of the following reasons:

1. Ensure that your notebook NVIDIA GPU supports WhisperMode.  Open the NVIDIA Control Panel -> click on the "System Information" link from the bottom left-hand corner.  From there, scroll down and check if WhisperMode appears as "Yes" as shown in the screenshot below .
WhisperMode requires a GeForce GTX 10 series or higher notebook GPU (GeForce RTX 3050 and above for WhisperMode 2.0) and video BIOS support to function.  If WhisperMode is listed as "No" or is missing and you have a supported notebook GPU, you can try checking your notebook manufacturers support site and install the most recent notebook system BIOS for your particular gaming notebook to see if it adds support.  WhisperMode relies on both NVIDIA GPU video BIOS support as well as notebook system BIOS support.

2. Some gaming notebook makers provide fan controls/performance settings/overclocking options as part of their platform control utilities (eg. Alienware Command Center/Asus Armoury Crate/HP OMEN Command Center/MSI Dragon Center/Razer Synapse/etc.).  When you change the performance mode or fan acousitics to a more aggressive setting from these utilities (performance/turbo/etc.), the notebook BIOS may disble NVIDIA WhisperMode.  You can try changing the preset to "balanced", "quiet", "whisper" or a similar preset to check if it restores WhisperMode.

Submitting a bug to NVIDIA:
If NVIDIA WhisperMode was supported with the pre-installed software that shipped with your gaming notebook and stopped working after an NVIDIA display driver update, you may email NVIDIA to submit a bug report.  Please include the following in your email:

1. Screenshot of the NVIDIA System Information showing the WhisperMode support as shown in the screenshot above.
2. Microsoft System Information as described in the knowledge base article below:
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/2507/
3. List the last working NVIDA driver version which provided WhisperMode support for your notebook.
4. Please confirm that you have troubleshooted the issue by checking the platform control utilities and verified changing these settings does not resolve your issue.

You may email this information to driverfeedback@nvidia.com.
