Why am I seeing a charge on my credit card statement for my GeForce NOW membership when the transaction cost was $0.00?

When you sign up for a paid GeForce NOW membership, we require your credit card to authorize your free trial. Our payment provider, Digital River, will place a small authorization on your credit card to validate your payment method. This authorization will normally get updated back to zero dollars within a few days, and is common in other subscription services.
