There are two versions of the SHIELD TV Remote 2019 with slightly different instructions on how to remove the battery cover.
Version 1: No depressable battery latch
Locate the triangle on the back of your SHIELD Remote 2019. If your triangle is not a spring loaded latch then you have version 1.
In most cases, you can also identify this version by the design of the home button (thin outline of a circle)
To remove the battery cover, follow the diagram below.

Version 2: Depressable battery latch
Locate the triangle on the back of your SHIELD Remote 2019. If your triangle can be pressed, you have version 2.
In most cases, you can also identify this version by the design of the home button (solid circle)
