Closing an app in Microsoft Windows 8 Metro

How do I close an application in Windows 8 Metro?

In Windows 8, when you open a Metro app, Windows will leave it running in the background when you switch to a different app.  Eventually, Windows may automaticaly close the app if you have not used it for a while or is low on memory.  Although not required, NVIDIA recommends closing all open Windows Metro and desktop applications before you proceed to install updated drivers.  To close an app:

-If you’re using a mouse, click the top of the app and drag it to the bottom of the screen.

-If you’re using touch, drag the app to the bottom of the screen.
