A Desk.cpl error occurs when I try to access my display properties or NVIDIA GeForce tabs. How can I fix this problem in Windows 9x?
Your windows display properties control panel (desk.cpl) is corrupt or you may have too many display properties tabs installed. Some may be left over from a previous video card installation. Please uninstall your display driver and extract desk.cpl from your windows cd to repair the file. Delete any .DLL files whose names begin with 'Nvrs' in your WindowsSystem (system32 on some OS) directory. Its best to do this in safe mode.
To restore the desk.cpl from your Windows CD please see the following Microsoft article.
