I see a large red X on my display. What does this mean for SHIELD users?

If your display shows a red X across the entire screen, this means that your SHIELD is likely connected to an HDMI port that does not support HDCP. And, the content that is being played requires HDCP.

HDCP stands for High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection. Try connecting to another HDMI port and refer to your displays user manual for a description of which ports support HDCP.
