February 2015 GeForce 64-bit Driver for Windows 10


Microsoft has posted an updated 64-bit driver for Windows 10 to Windows Update. Release notes for this driver can be downloaded here.

 

Feature Support

DirectX 12

  • Single GPU only

DirectX 9, 10, 11

  • Single GPU and 2-way SLI
  • Stereoscopic 3D
  • NVIDIA G-SYNC

OpenGL 4.x

  • Single GPU and SLI (No performance scaling / SLI Mosaic support)

Optimus / Microsoft Hybrid Support

  • Render pipeline only (see Limitations section)

Shadowplay

  • Single GPU and SLI
  • Supported on Optimus systems

Gamestream

  • Single GPU
  • Supported on Optimus systems

Limitations

  • Surround performance has not been verified.
  • You may experience sub-optimal DirectX 12 performance with Maxwell architecture GPUs.
  • Optimus/Microsoft Hybrid System

The following limitations exist on some Optimus systems, but should be addressed by Windows 10 RTM:

  • Optimus power management is not fully functional.
  • Monitor connections on the discrete GPU are temporarily disabled pending changes in the Windows 10 OS.

DirectX 11 Limitation

  • Tiled resources are not yet supported.

DirectX 12 Limitations

  • Tiled resources are not yet supported.
  • Default resource heaps and application-controlled resource residency are not yet supported
  • Root SRV and UAV descriptors are not yet supported.
  • Compute CBV descriptors must not be edited in a command list after a SetComputeDescriptorTable call.
  • Does not support NVIDIA G-Sync, 3D Vision, SLI.
