After installing the nForce drivers, I get the error message 'Incorrect size returned during FXMANAGER_ALLOCATE'.

The FXMANAGER_ALLOCATE error occurs when you try to open the NForce Control Panel and then Control Panel trys to open the SoundStorm program (C:\WINDOWS\system32\sndstorm.exe - location of file for Windows XP) and fails, producing the error message.  The only method for correcting this problem is to uninstall your current nForce drivers completely and then proceed to install the latest version from our Software Downloads page at:

http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Find.aspx?lang=en-us

The best way to uninstall the nForce drivers is through the Add/Remove Programs inside of your Control Panel.  Once the drivers have been uninstalled, restart your computer and then once you are back in Windows, proceed to install the latest nForce Unified Drivers.  Since you will lose internet access after removing the nForce drivers, please make sure to download the updated nForce Unified Drivers prior to removing the older drivers.

Most of these error messages occurs from updating your nForce drivers through the Microsoft Windows Update.  The Microsoft Windows Update should only be used to update your Windows components and not for hardware devices.
