Why does the Windows logo remain on my LCD panel after Windows has loaded?

If the user selects an external display that is connected to the NVIDIA graphics adapter, and disables the internal LCD (which is connected to the Intel graphics adapter), this problem may occur when restarting the system.

This issue originates with the driver for the Intel integrated graphics adapter. At this time no fix is available; however, you may wish to check for updates to the Intel driver as this may resolve the problem. The effect is harmless, but if you wish to work around it you can enable the internal LCD from within Windows (and then, if you wish, disable it again).
