My GeForce GTX 280/260 graphics card fan does not turn off when Hybrid SLI “Save Power” mode is enabled with R178.xx and higher drivers.

NVIDIA has determined that a minimal fan RPM is needed on GeForce GTX 280/260 graphics cards to deliver the most reliable experience in switching into and out of HybridPower Save Power mode and has thus enabled a minimum fan speed when this mode is selected.  The display still runs off the motherboard GPU in this mode and users will still experience low power and low noise from the discrete graphics card.  NVIDIA recommends using only 178.13 or higher drivers for HybridPower support on GeForce GTX 280/260 graphics cards.
