What remote control should I use with Microsoft Windows Media Center Edition?

You need to use an MCE compatible remote control and receiver kit that may come with your MCE system; you may also purchase an NVIDIA DualTV and MCE remote control kit bundle from NVIDIA's online store or an MCE remote and receiver kit from many popular online retailers.

If you intend to use one or two set-top boxes with your MCE PC, an MCE compatible remote control/ receiver with IR blaster(s) is necessary. The remote control unit does not control the set-top boxes directly; they are controlled by the IR codes transmitted from the IR blaster(s) connected to the IR USB remote receiver.

If you do not connect a set-top box to the MCE PC, the MCE remote control is optional but will enhance your user experience.
