Windows Media Center can not detect my set-top box during automatic TV signal setup.  What's the work around?

This behavior occurs because Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005 cannot determine which auxiliary input port contains a TV signal. Some TV tuner adaptors have a coaxial input, s-video input, or a composite input. Typically, the s-video input and composite input share one input port.

To resolve this issue, manually configure the set-top box to work with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005. To manually configure the set-top box to work with Windows XP Media Center Edition 2005, follow these steps from the link below.
